Physical TherapistDr. Froio, one of the principles of SOAR, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kean University in 1998 with an undergraduate degree in Biology and completed his physical therapy training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2000. He then continued his education at UMDNJ with the completion of his clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2003. Before joining SOAR Physical Therapy in 2001 he worked in an outpatient facility where he treated sports injuries and general orthopedic conditions.
As a physical therapist credentialed by the McKenzie Institute, Dr. Froio is recognized for his level of expertise in mechanical diagnosis and therapy, with an emphasis on spinal care rehabilitation. Other areas of his continued education and expertise include manual therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, general orthopaedics and the treatment of movement impairment syndromes and sport injuries In addition to providing patient care at SOAR, Dr. Froio is responsible for assisting with staff development and supervision. Additionally, he is a clinical instructor for physical therapy students from a wide variety of universities that affiliate with SOAR. He is a member of The American Physical Therapy Association and The McKenzie Institute, USA. He speaks both Spanish and Italian. When not working, Nick is enjoying his immediate and extended family.

Massage TherapistVictoria Smerecznik is a New Jersey state licensed Massage Therapist. She received her certification from the School of Therapeutic Massage & Holistic Health at Brookdale Community College in 2019. Victoria has a knowledge of and passion for many different specialties, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage and stretching techniques. Victoria specializes in medically based treatments and enjoys working with clients to address a variety of ailments including chronic pain, headaches, neuromuscular conditions, and stress. Victoria leads with hands of intuition and caters each massage to the specific needs of each individual client. In her free time, Victoria enjoys going to the movies, live music and spending time with family and her 2 dogs.
Isabelle Brousse PT, DPT

Physical TherapistDr. Brousse graduated from Stockton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2013, and with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. She has training from the McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis of the spine, and has also had training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, as well as Blood Flow Restriction. Through these techniques and evidence based best practice, she is committed to providing each patient with the care they deserve. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing projects around the house, going to the beach in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Physical TherapistDr. Russo completed her undergraduate work in Exercise Science at Georgian Court University before graduating Magna Cum Laude during her physical therapy training at Touro College of Health Sciences in NYC. Before moving her practice to SOAR Physical Therapy she worked for many years in NYC in her careers of physical therapy, as a VIP Manager at the Waldorf Astoria and in the performing arts. The latter includes a career in musical theatre with extensive training in musical theatre, ballet, tap and jazz. Dr. Russo has also worked as a singer/dancer from New York to Florida and has taught dance and theatre locally at the Count Basie Cool School in Red Bank.
It is her passion to continue merging all of her skills and energy into a results focused, fun and personally rewarding career in health and wellness for all ages, as demonstrated by her work at SOAR Physical Therapy and her use of music and dance to create fun and motivation for seniors as she continues conducting exercise programs for them throughout the Shore area.
It is Dr. Russo’s dedication to the geriatric population that led her to further her education in pursuit of a doctorate in physical therapy. She is passionate about reducing fall risks and improving the quality of life for seniors in addition to using her artistic and clinical expertise to rehabilitate dance injuries, chronic pain syndromes, autoimmune diseases, and scoliosis.
In her free time Dr. Russo enjoys spending time with seniors, watching the Yankees and exploring the scenic Jersey Shore.

Physical TherapistDr. Montecalvo, one of the principles of SOAR, is a native of The Jersey Shore. He attended High Point University for his undergraduate education, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Sports Medicine. His physical therapy training was at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ where he received his clinical doctorate in physical therapy. The focus of his practice is in orthopaedics, concentrating on spine and sports related injuries. Dr. Montecalvo is credentialed by the McKenzie Institute for his expertise in mechanical diagnosis and therapy, emphasizing spinal care rehabilitation. He is also a member of The American Physical Therapy Association. When not working, Dr. Montecalvo participates in annual walks for multiple sclerosis and 5k’s for many local charities. He enjoys working out at the gym and spending time with his wife and dogs. On occasion, you will even find him playing guitar with a local band.

Acupuncturist, Herbalist, L.AcChristopher DeSalvo is a Licensed Acupuncturist, licensed Herbalist and registered nurse. He holds undergraduate degrees in nursing and social science, having studied here in New Jersey at Ocean County College and Rutgers University. In 2000, he went to graduate school in Los Angeles California where he studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in an intensive four year Masters degree program at Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. On his road to SOAR he has worked as a nurse at Community Medical Center in Toms River, then subsequently worked in as an acupuncturist in numerous contexts, ranging from multidisciplinary outpatient physical therapy practices, to private practice, to home visits for the elderly and disabled during the pandemic.

Physical TherapistDr. Ross is a dedicated physical therapist who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Monmouth University, where she excelled in Division 1 soccer. She also holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alvernia University.
She has undergone training at the McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis of the spine. She also enjoys treating balance/fall patients, sport injuries, and a variety of post-surgical patients. With her expertise and vibrant spirit, she brings an enthusiastic approach to her work, helping others achieve their optimal physical well-being.
Outside of work, you can catch her playing soccer in local adult leagues, reading, snowboarding, and enjoying nature with her dog, Millie.

Physical TherapistDr. Stehm graduated Summa Cum Laude from Stockton University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in health science and a concentration in pre-Physical Therapy. He then went to Arcadia University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and graduated with honors distinction in 2022. He has additional training from the McKenzie Institute in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine.
He was introduced to physical therapy after a experiencing a series of knee injuries and surgeries when he was young and has come to personally recognize the great benefit that physical therapy has on people’s lives and now wishes to take his training and personal experience to commit himself to the rehabilitation of others.
When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, going on hikes, rock climbing, playing bass, and teaching in the youth ministry at the church he attends.
