Nicola Owen PT, DPT

Nicola Owen PT, DPT
Clinical DirectorNicola Owen has been a physical therapist since 1992, a career she has loved as a physical therapist since graduating from Boston University. Nicola worked at Bacharach Rehabilitation Hospital before joining a well-established orthopedic outpatient facility in South Jersey in 1994. She became owner of that clinic, Cape Atlantic Physical Therapy, in 2008 and established herself as the community physical therapist. She joined forces with Strive Physical Therapy in 2019 and couldn’t be any happier to be a part of this amazing team dedicated to their staff and their patients. Her clinical expertise is in general orthopedics, neurological and neuromuscular rehabilitation and she frequently calls herself a mechanic of the human body. She is certified in IASTM, BFR and has completed Lower Extremity Post Amputation/Prosthetic Training. She plans on becoming McKenzie and LSVT BIG certified in the near future. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1992 and has been a clinical instructor for physical therapy students for over 20 years. In her free time, she loves being with her children, gardening, playing tennis, kayaking and of course going to the beach.

Physical Therapist AssistantJodi graduated from Penn State University in 1979 with a BS degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She was a speech therapist in the Philadelphia school district from 1979-1984. In 1991, Jodi made the decision to change careers. 3 years later she graduated from Atlantic Cape Community College with an Associate’s degree in applied science. Her work experiences include outpatient orthopedics and subacute long term care. She also had experience in clinical instruction of future PTA’s and assisting at the community college as an adjunct in the mid 1990’s. Her certifications include IASTM and BFR. She currently completed a course in Post Amputation/Prosthetic Training.
When not caring for patients, Jodi treasures her time with her husband of 38 years, daughter and son in law in Philadelphia and son, daughter in law, and 11 month old granddaughter in Colorado.

Physical TherapistShelby graduated from Stockton University in the spring of 2019, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Her undergraduate course work was completed at Kent State University in Ohio, where she emerged in 2013 as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
For three years, Shelby worked at various locations in Ohio and West Virginia, honing her skills as a Physical Therapist Assistant in preparation for the career she always dreamed of. Shelby is very happy to begin her career as a Physical Therapist with Strive. She is interested in a wide variety of diagnoses and populations and derives great satisfaction from working with all of them. She is certified in Blood Flow restriction therapy and has participate in an Amputee training course through Medbridge. Her goal is to become certified in the McKenzie Method for treatment of spine and extremities as well as LSVT-BIG, commonly used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
In her spare time, Shelby enjoys reading, the beach and bike riding.

Physical TherapistCameron graduated from Rutgers University in the Summer of 2022, earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Prior to grad school, Cameron worked as a patient care technician at AtlantiCare while completing undergraduate coursework at Stockton University. Cameron had the privilege to observe numerous operative procedures by some of the most talented surgeons in the South Jersey area during this time.
Prior to starting his journey as a Physical Therapist, Cameron served in the United States Marine Corps where he was deployed to Afghanistan. Cameron’s philosophy is to treat each patient as an individual, collaborating with them to keep their personal goals as the primary focus during the rehab process. He is excited about starting his career at Strive due to the wide variety of injuries and ailments that are treated in the facility.
During his off time, Cameron enjoys watching sports, going to Phillies games, and spending time with his two dogs.

Physical TherapistStephen graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and from Thomas Jefferson University, where he obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). Stephen has completed the certification process fro vestibular physical therapy, Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through the Ola Grimsby Institute and Certified Trigger-Point Physical Therapist/Dry Needling through Myopain (CMTPT/DN)
Stephen’s career has been mostly outpatient sport, neurological/orthopedic physical therapy and acute care/hospital-based inpatient physical therapy. He has been an active lecturer for pain management through physical therapy interventions, trigger-point dry needling and postoperative joint replacement physical therapy.
Current and past work experiences have been with Hospitalists, Primary Care Physicians, Pain Management, Surgeons, Allied Health Professionals and Physicians of Chiropractic to develop a well0rounded holistic approach to physical therapy healthcare.

Christine DeLorenzo PT, LSVT-BIG

Physical TherapistChristine graduated from Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University) with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1995. Shortly after, she joined the team at Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation, working there for 26 years. Most of her experience was in Acute Care at Atlanticare Mainland Campus where Christine had the pleasure of working with patients with a variety of medical issues and challenges. Toward the end of her career with Bacharach, Christine transferred to the out-patient clinic in Atlantic City where her case load included patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions.
She has experience with many patient populations from babies in the NICU to adults after surgery and in the ICU. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially the ageless elderly. Some of her best patients are in their nineties.
Christine’s favorite challenges are patients post-CVA and those with balance issues. Christine is certified in the LSVT BIG program for Parkinson’s Disease, and is interested in learning vestibular rehabilitation and post-concussion treatment.
Outside of work, Christine enjoys being outdoors, reading, and the theater. She also likes to spend time with her two daughters.
