Meet the Staff
Jessica graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She was awarded her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2018.
In 2018, Jessica joined the Moorestown Strive location, and in 2021, she joined the Philadelphia Business District location. She treats a variety of orthopedic, vestibular, and pediatric cases and enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Jessica is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey where she qualifies for direct access evaluations. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Her future career goals include becoming certified in the McKenzie Method for treatment of spine and extremities and earning her Orthopedic Specialist Certification.
In her time away from work, Jessica spends her time with family and friends, traveling, and exercising. She loves going down the shore with her husband and their dog.
Julia Kajen is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist and the Director of the Pelvic Health Program at Strive Physical Therapy. She graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015 from Simmons University, where she continued as an adjunct faculty member for several years.
Julia is passionate about treating bladder, bowel, and sexual dysfunctions with special interests in vestibulodynia, endometriosis, pelvic floor dyssynergia, and dyspareunia. Julia enjoys working with transgender and non-binary patients, performing artists, the LGBTQI community, and patients with connective tissue disorders. She empowers her patients by teaching them relevant anatomy, physiology, pain science, and symptom management techniques.
Julia serves as an educator and mentor with Evidence in Motion’s Pelvic Health Certification program. She has presented at the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, Yale School of Nursing, Philadelphia Ostomy Association, and Tufts Medical Center on topics including chronic pain, pelvic health, and physical therapy for the transgender and gender non-binary population.
Julia is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is involved in the Academy of Orthopedics, Academy of Pelvic Health, and the PT Political Action Committee. She serves on the Finance Committee of the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association.
Julia is involved in community activism, and her hobbies include reading, hiking, and watching horror movies.
Lorah Kate Styer, Katie for short, graduated from Alvernia University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to graduate school, Katie attended Temple University where she achieved a B.S in Kinesiology. She completed her final clinical affiliation with Strive Physical Therapy in Moorestown, and currently works at this location.
Katie has experience treating a wide range of patients that range between acute care in the ICU, pediatrics, and orthopedics in the outpatient setting. Throughout her clinical affiliations, she has worked with patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, including developmental delays, traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, post-op hip and knee replacements, low back pain, and balance dysfunction. She hopes to eventually earn her Orthopedic Certified Specialist certification, while also taking a variety of continuing education courses to gain a broad scope of knowledge. Outside of physical therapy, Katie’s hobbies include traveling, hiking, spending time in the Outer Banks, hiking, and going on long walks through Philly.
