Kayla graduated Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2013. While at Penn State Kayla was Women’s Club Gymnastics team captain. She has been competitive with gymnastics, snowboarding, and track events throughout life. Her multiple sports related injuries sparked her interest in the physical therapy profession.
Kayla continued her education at Drexel University earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. She was her graduate class president, and completed research with Drexel dancers, creating a functional screen of dance specific movements. Kayla went on a mission trip to Guatemala to provide physical therapy to underserved populations with Hearts in Motion and returns as an alumni to mentor Drexel PT students whenever she has the chance.
Kayla completed her final clinical rotation at Strive in Cherry Hill and has been a proud member of the team ever since. She is passionate about treating orthopedic conditions, with an interest in concussion and POTS/EDS disorders. She is trained in vestibular therapy and the McKenzie Method, utilizing Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) to treat conditions of the spine. Currently, Kayla is an active member in the APTA, and manages documentation compliance and chart audits for Strive. In the future Kayla plans to expand her physical therapy expertise by continuing her vestibular education and taking the MDT exam for certification.
