Meet the Staff
Julia obtained her undergraduate degree from Stonehill College in 2011. While at Stonehill, Julia studied Biology and was a member of the women’s soccer team. Playing soccer competitively sparked her interest in sports related injuries. After going through physical therapy herself for 3 ACL reconstructions, Julia feels that her personal experience is an asset that will further her influence within the sports community.
Julia continued her education at Temple University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in May 2016. In her physical therapy practice Julia is passionate about treating orthopedic diagnoses as well as Vestibular conditions including vertigo, post-concussion syndrome, and balance disorders. In 2017 she earned her LSVT BIG certification for treating individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Julia is MDT certified uses the McKenzie Method for assessment and treatment for spinal and extremity pain. Furthermore, in 2019 she became certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation at Emory University and has used her experience to treat patients suffering from post-concussion syndrome, BPPV, vestibular hypofunctions, and chronic dizziness.
In the future Julia plans to expand her physical therapy practice by earning her Orthopedic Clinical Specialty. She is proud to be a part of the Strive team.
Michelle Sobel graduated from West Chester University in 2017 with a Bachelor in exercise science and a minor in nutrition. She then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2021. As a doctoral student, Michelle treated a diverse range of patient populations during her clinical affiliations which included orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, pediatric and geriatric neurological disorders, and pelvic health dysfunction. She truly loves working with patients of all ages, and values clinics that care for orthopedic and pelvic health conditions. She is excited to contribute to both areas of treatment here at Strive!
Michelle is certified in Pelvic Health levels 1 and 2 through the APTA and Herman and Wallace Institute. She is passionate about raising awareness about this form of physical therapy for all genders and patient populations. Michelle plans on continuing to advance her pelvic health education throughout her career. She also plans to sit for the orthopedic clinical specialist exam and to complete her certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment.
In her free time, she loves to dance, work out, watch movies, listen to music, and hike, and has developed a newly found love for running and reading. She is an avid fan of her city of Philadelphia and also soaks in her time being out and about and trying every sushi and pizza spot in town. She is very close with her family, dog, and friends and is happy to start her career so close to home!
