About Us
Since 2000, Northeast PT Associates in Hazleton, Drums and Shenandoah, PA, have helped all ages improve the quality of their lives. We specialize in orthopedic, geriatric, pain control and balance training and offer treatments to enhance your health. From pain management to work hardening to Alzheimer's and dementia treatment, we offer it all. We also provide neuromuscular re-education, strengthening and therapeutic exercise services as well as traction and modalities for pain.
For patients who want to achieve other health goals after receiving therapy from us, we have a wellness program available. This program is offered for a nominal fee.

Physical Therapist, Clinic DirectorSince founding Northeast PT Associates the Seratches have enjoyed working with all ages to enhance their lives. From young clients still in school experiencing difficulty with muscle strength or gait to the geriatric population having pain or increased fall risk they will formulate a personalized program for your individualized care.
Frank and Sarah opened their first office in Hazleton, Pennsylvania in 2000. They wanted to offer quality physical therapy services to residents of their hometown in a small, family-type setting. Even once expanding into Shenandoah and Drums, they continue to pride themselves on that personalized feeling.
Sarah, with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy can be found in their Drums office. Specializing in the geriatric population, and being Certified in Fall Risk Management and in the LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, Sarah has achieved high respect from her patients for improving their gait and balance, and decreasing their fall risk. Sarah has also enjoyed specializing in the shoulder complex, treating both pain and injury and helping clients return to work or play quicker and with less pain. Focusing on each individual in their own personalized program achieves results.

Occupational TherapistEmalee is an occupational therapist who specializes in working with the geriatric population. She is passionate about utilizing a functional approach in helping others regain independence in areas that are meaningful and purposeful to each patient. Emalee is certified in LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, and has experience in treating the vestibular system, dementia, hip/knee replacements, neurological conditions, and several other diagnoses.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find her spending as much time as she can at the lake, reading a good book, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog!

Physical Therapist AssistantKristi Gallagher is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 20 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care in outpatient physical therapy setting. She earned her Associate Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Penn State Hazleton and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from East Stroudsburg University. Kristi is passionate about helping patients reduce pain , improve mobility, regain strength, and return to the activities they enjoy. She believes in providing personalized care, encouragement, and support while helping each patient achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.
Beyond the clinic, Kristi enjoys giving back to her community through volunteer opportunities that allow her to support and connect with others. She volunteers with SETEBAID Services, Inc., an organization dedicated to working with children with diabetes, and is also involved with the Pennsylvania Theater of Performing Arts in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, where she enjoys being part of children’s and adult productions through backstage support and production assistance.
When she is not caring for patients or volunteering her time, Kristi enjoys traveling and creating memories with her family. Her dedication to helping others extends beyond the clinic, and she brings compassion, positivity and commitment to everything she does.

Physical Therapist AssistantAs a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant Charlene has years of experience treating clients from Berwick to Drums, Sugarloaf and Hazleton. She brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to Northeast PT Associates.
Outside of work Charlene is a Master Gardener, an avid reader of suspense novels, and enjoys life with her husband and three dogs.

Our office at NEPT is fast-paced and always requires an eye for details. Greeting all of our patients warmly and efficiently is their specialty. Here you can chat for a moment before entering into your session and discuss scheduling options. Our from desk will provide you with a convenient appointment that will fit even the most challenging schedule. Whenever expressing concerns with billing or insurances our billing officer is only a few steps away and would be happy to meet with you.

Frank, having a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy specializes in and enjoys working with clients complaining of back pain and specifically pelvic obliquities, helping those with minor back injuries to those with severe pain and the inability to complete daily activities. Frank is also happy to share his expertise in shoulder injury and surgery. Spending many hours exclusively on the shoulder complex has allowed him to achieve outstanding results with his patients. Frank can be found most days at the Hazleton or Shenandoah office.
