Physical TherapistDean has been a physical therapist for 16 years since graduating from MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1998. He has worked as a staff physical therapist and then clinical director Dynamic Physical Therapy in Philadelphia before joining Strive. Dean is also a graduate of one of the top College Swimming Teams in the country, Auburn University, where he was an accomplished athlete that learned from several of the best coaches in the world. He has carried that knowledge into Physical Therapy and has special interest in the mechanics of sport and their role in sports injuries, particularly swimming injuries. Dean is a Delran native that moved to Moorestown two years ago with his wife of 14 years, Cara Hutchinson and their three children, Ava, Grace and James.

Clinical DirectorVeronica earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015 and has been working in the outpatient field for >8 years. Veronica’s passion is to return patients and clients to their prior level of function and return them to their hobbies and daily life activities to enjoy their lives to the fullest. Her approach to physical therapy is rooted in fostering strong patient relationships to be able to tailor each treatment session; to address specific patient goals and treating everyone as their own individual injury and person. She is certified in Graston Technique for soft tissue work, SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and FMS (Functional Movement Screen) to focus on specific needs and functional deficits for all individuals. Veronica is interested in all orthopedic injuries, with a focus on sports injuries. She is a certified Sports Physical Therapist, after completing a residency program with a focus on sport injuries, rehab, and on field assessments. Sports have been a large part of her life, between playing multiple sports in a season year-round, and with experience coaching Field Hockey at the high school level. Veronica is always looking to further her education and experience with evidence bases practices and manual skills to continue to add to her skill set as a practitioner.
When not at work, Veronica enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family down the shore in the summers, and skiing in the mountains out west. Her hobbies include skiing, traveling the country and abroad, coaching field hockey, cooking, hiking, and spending time with family.

Lisa is currently a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, bringing 15+ years of outpatient orthopedic clinical experience to Strive Physical Therapy. Lisa plans to become certified in Graston technique in an effort to continue to expand her manual therapy skills. Lisa is married with 3 children and enjoys running, going to concerts, and is an avid sports fan.

Jay Najafi PT, DPT, COMT, OCS

Physical TherapistJay Najafi, PT, DPT graduated from Seton Hall University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2016.
Jay’s specialties include the management of cervical, thoracic, lumbopelvic and sacroiliac joint dysfunctions, shoulder and knee instability, athletic hip non-operative and post-operative care, post-surgical and non-surgical return to sport rehab for high level athlete/X-sports athletes. He uses a variety of methods to help his patients achieve optimal outcome including: dry needling, Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, advance exercise progressions, joint mobilization and manipulation, visceral mobilization and kinesiology taping.
Jay has a certification as a Sacroiliac Joint Specialist through the Hesch Institute as well as advanced post-doctoral coursework in the management of cervical and thoracic spine dysfunctions. He is currently working towards a board certification specialty in orthopedics (OCS), as well as a fellowship in the Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists/Certified Integrative Manual Therapists (CIMT).
Although mainly focusing on orthopedic sports medicine rehabilitation, Jay has also worked in a variety of settings including: acute, sub-acute and home care. These experiences have given him a good understanding of a variety of diagnosis’ in all stages of the healing process.

Physical TherapistLauren earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Widener University in 2024. Prior to physical therapy school she attended Rider University where she earned her B.S. in Health Sciences. Growing up, Lauren swam for the Jersey Wahoos in Mount Laurel for over 10 years. She went on to swim Division I at Rider University where she specialized in the 100 and 200 Butterfly events. While at Rider, Lauren conducted undergraduate research which evaluated the psychoactive effects of acute exercise on pain tolerance. Additionally, she coauthored research that was published in February 2024 in the American College of Sports Medicine Journal Exercise, Sport, and Movement. Lauren’s passion for health, wellness, injury prevention, and rehabilitation stems from her time as a student-athlete. In addition to physical therapy, Lauren is both a Learn to Swim and Elite swim lesson coach at the Strive Swim Science Center. In the future, Lauren hopes to pursue clinical certifications in Sports and Orthopedics.
